WayAhead provides the Anxiety Disorders Information Phone Service to people based in or near the borders of NSW who are attempting to locate mental health and anxiety support and services in their local area.
1300 794 992 – the WayAhead Anxiety Disorders Information Line
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm but you can leave a message after hours.
You can either contact us by phone (for the cost of a local call) or by email, where an Information Officer will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
In order to provide informed and accurate referrals we utilise the regularly updated WayAhead Directory of mental health services in NSW.
We can discuss with you how a referral to a particular service can assist you, and we have information available on a range of services including community mental health, crisis intervention and treatment services, as well as accommodation, practical care, law and justice, and more.
If we can’t find something in your area then we will let you know where the nearest appropriate service is located. Contact us to find out how services in the community can either help you, your family or your friends.
All calls are treated confidentially. You can remain anonymous if you wish, and no personal details are retained.
Please note that we do not offer crisis telephone counselling. For immediate help from a health professional, please contact the Mental Health Crisis Team in your local area, or alternatively dial 000 for an Ambulance
