Understanding Anxiety
More than 2 in every 5 people have experienced a mental disorder at some time in their life. Anxiety is the most common disorder reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (2020/21). Understanding Anxiety is a program of initiatives by WayAhead to raise awareness and provide education and support. Below, find out more about anxiety and how to seek help.

Let’s talk about Anxiety Forums
Looking for more information or help with anxiety? We host Let’s Talk Anxiety forums in Sydney and all around NSW. You’ll learn more about anxiety disorders from experts and from people with lived experience of anxiety. Meet the mental health providers in your community. Come to a forum to meet, learn and share.

Small Steps
Are you a parent, carer or teacher wanting to find out more about childhood anxiety? Our Small Steps seminars explain the types of anxiety and how to help children with anxiety. Book a seminar in your centre, school or community and learn a toolkit of strategies to use at home or in the classroom.

Support Groups
Join a support group in your local area to share personal experiences in a safe and informational environment.
